I was thinking of buying options in silver somewhat far out of the money, maybe options worth about $750 and about four months until expiration. Would you guys recommend this or would you recommend me trade a closer month. I don't like trading that close because the options begin to depreciate too fast.
Make sure you bend over and hold your ankles as you place your order. Seriously, the silver options are currently accepting market orders only on a not held basis, which means the market makers can fill your order as they see fit. With wide bid/ask spreads, you're most likely to get terrible prices going in and coming out of the position(double whammy). I would say trade the silver equities and such like the $XAU PAAS etc.
