Check also which IB server you're connecting to, US or Hong Kong.

Of course they do. Just tell them that all you need is HKF data, and thatwill be the only exchnage you will be paying for.

now I am using tick charts with ts2000

but after I installed the ts8.1 and owndata

I find the same strategy but different strategy performance

the data r both from globalserver

 

BTW, if you trade on tick data, better use esignal, but then it is not as fast as IB. Tough choice

maybe it is becoz we r in shanghai

and esignal has not server located in china

 

frankly speaking,I don't care wether IB is real tick data or not

what I care about is wether I can backfill the tick data from IB

tws the backfilled data is reliable

 

as far as i know, only ib's LIVE feed is tick. they provide consolidated backfill data, not tick. if you want tick backfill without esignal, i believe IQ feed provides it.
