Just stock and options. Charts are mostly on the 3 minute chart but that varies when placing a trade. I have about 20 charts up at once. Multiple screens keeps everything visual and convenient.
I have found that the number of monitors in use by a trader is in inverse proportion to the amount of time a person has been trading.
It's convenient to have everything up front, never have to hunt around. Just 1 click all the indicators, charts 1,3,5 min, option chain, detail quote, news, market depth, and order, change to the symbol immediately. I have major index charts up all the time. Some may call it info overload, maybe they don't know what to do with the data or they're just slow. It's also relative to the seriousness of the trader. When you're trading multiple 6+ figure accounts a laptop may not cut it. Each to their own.
You can not make money with just 6 monitors. I have 24 monitors, and I am barely break-even. 48 monitors is the absolute minimum to compete.
