Need Advice on Cancer remedies

  1. I should add that it is crucial that you take magnesium with your Vitamin D3 to help assist in the absorption.

the whole world is deficient in vitamin d3 AND magnesium. also, people's calcium levels are way out of whack compared to magnesium.

incidentally, if you ever wonder why you feel great after a day at the beach it's because the beach provides Vitamin D3 and the ocean provides magnesium. one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself.

  2. There is a book called The Perfect Health Diet which is all about preventing & eliminating disease. It tells what food to avoid, what to eat & in what ratios. It explains which vitamins should be taken & how they all work together. For example Vitamin D & Vitamin K2 should be taken together. Omega 3 fats & Omega 6 fats should be at a certain ratio in the body. Avoid vegetable oils like the plague.

Anyway I'm no nutrition expert, but I've read a lot & this one is the one I'm sticking with. It makes sense, & is backed up by published scientific studies. It's pretty cool, because at this point in human evolution you'd think we would know exactly what to put in our bodies & what not to put in them to live a healthy disease-free life, so the authors of this book did their best to figure it out, therefore the "Perfect Health Diet".

I'm not saying it'll cure cancer, because I have no idea, but it might be worth looking into. Now if I could just stick to the diet a little better & put down the beer I'm currently drinking. :(

This would be my starting point as a self described "out of the box" thinker.

Look at the country or region with the smallest rate of colon cancer per population. Hopefully you can identify some unique characteristic of their diet that maybe attributable to a low colon cancer rate, ie fish in an asian country, curry in Indian food, chile peppers in mexico. I don't know something unique, and search if there is some research on that food applied to cancer prevention that makes sense and eat a boat load of it.

    Best of luck.

My google search led me to this, check out Brazil

Graviola Tree - A Natural Cancer Cell Killer

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ySuisgSBwxY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's been called a miracle tree. Indigenous peoples from the Amazon jungle have used the bark, leaves, roots, flowers, fruit, and seed from the graviola tree for centuries to treat heart disease, asthma, liver problems, and arthritis. Scientists from North America learned of the legendary healing tree and, through dozens of in vitro tests, discovered its ability to kill malignant cells of 12 different types of cancer, including ovarian, colon, breast, prostate, lung, liver, cervical, lymphoma, and pancreatic cancer.

Laboratory research showed it to be 10,000 times stronger in killing colon cancer cells than Adriamycin, a commonly used chemotherapy drug. And Graviola, unlike chemotherapy, can kill cancer cells without harming healthy cells.

Graviola: A Worthwhile Botanical Against Cancer?

I read about a South American herb called graviola, which supposedly boosts immunity and has anti-tumor properties. Are there any scientific studies supporting these claims?

    Answer
I've seen Internet hype on graviola, which is being widely promoted as a cancer-fighting herb. Some Web sites claim that it is 10,000 times stronger than the chemotherapy drug Adriamycin, and that it is effective against prostate, lung, breast, colon and pancreatic cancers. None of this is true.

I asked Tieraona Low Dog, M.D., director of education at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine here at the University of Arizona, about graviola. Dr. Low Dog, an expert in botanical medicine, told me that it is the common name for Annona reticulata, also known as custard apple, a tree that grows in South America and the Caribbean islands and is prized by locals for its delicious fruit and medicinal properties. She explained that the unripe fruit is used traditionally to treat diarrhea and dysentery. The leaves are taken internally to eliminate worms and other parasites and are also applied topically for poorly healing wounds. The root bark is used to reduce fever.

The idea that graviola is an effective cancer fighter comes from research at Purdue University's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on the active components of the tree, unique substances known as annonaceous acetogenins. The Purdue investigators found them to be potent inhibitors of cancer cells while leaving normal cells alone. They also found the compounds to be effective against drug-resistant cancer cells.

But these were in vitro results - that is, the results of adding the annona derivatives to cancer cells growing in test tubes. This is a long way from clinical trials to determine the safety and efficacy of these compounds in people with cancer. In fact, I have found no human studies at all of graviola, for treatment of cancer or anything else. We do not even have basic safety data on graviola extracts. What's more, there is no way to tell whether commercially available graviola contains any of the compounds studied at Purdue. Indeed, the compounds used in the test tube studies didn't come from the custard apple tree at all, but from the leaves of annona glabra, a related tree that grows in Florida and produces a fruit called pond apple.

Dr. Low Dog says she wouldn't take or recommend graviola or its extracts as a dietary supplement. I agree.

  10. that data does not mean its effective against cancer in humans..

supplement scammers have a system. some researcher somewhere publishes skechy data that x compound may have some minor effect in a labratory setting and the supplement makers and internet hypsters using testimonials all jump on the miracle cure bandwagon and within weeks products will be on the market to sell to the desperate or gullible. its all a scheme to seperate people from their money.

unless double blind human trials are done and show it effective its all hype. they never are with the supplememt makers because 99% fail and they are expensive.

if you dont have the ability to think critically you easily fall victim to the hype.
