Are you interested in trading FTRs? Or purely power price. Whats nice about PJM, all the other ISOs too is the data is pretty transparent and available. Its pretty easy to backtest a lot of strategies after getting some systems in place and some scraping of the data.
Power Trading? For frrrrreeeee? Few minutes a week? It will take you a lifetime then. Even with help from a GOOD mentor, you are looking at two years of being on phone for a few hours each day, and never fails the mentor will miss trades cause he/she explaining concepts, who is going to reimburse them for missed profits? And of course you going to want to learn from someone who is doing size. Listen buddy, I would rather have someone take pliers and rip out my toenails than mentor anyone any more. Whatever money you view as good payment, good traders make in a day or week. LOL, we all have spent a bundle getting good at our craft, I know through the years I have spent well over 200Gs between courses, equipment, seminars, books, software etc etc etc, so spending a couple k is like nada. It is best you do a journal, have ideas of making something your own, find out the people who are good at trading and ask them to check out your journal for help. Experienced traders will do this as they have time. There are many good traders here and you can get a dozen concepts on how they trade. But best way is study and develop on your own.
I remember in 1959 gasoline was 19.9/cents, THEY pumped it, checked the oil, tires, washed all the windows and gave a glass tumbler/S&H greenstamps. You had to have cash to pay the gasoline. So much better days back then. Life has truly gone to crap as years have past, you could leaves the keys in the car, front door of our house was never locked, not till late 1960s we lock the doors. Mom never had to have a job and anyone who worked that were educated bought a house, vacations, etc.... Only good thing right now, I can take a tablet and make money through trading anywhere in the world.
