One has to actually trade to lose money so most on here are very safe people, "like not_stockTrad3r" and many others their demo account may get a battering but thats about it.
Very few traders in texas. A firm up in Austin, but most are Energy Brokers, and Brokers in general. Texas has a few Fund Managers. But the over all Financial Industry in Texas is a Joke.
Not so, in Houston alone, there are at least 20 hedge funds including CTAs dealing with energy in the futures and equities markets... AAA Capital Management is one that has around a billion AUM and very successful. Of course, there are a lot of OTC Nat Gas brokerages moving in to help these funds unwind positons with multiple brokers so no one can get a hold of overall strategy.
