Seth Golden discloses a strategy that made 2,400%. Volatility mean reverts. I have documented all the links on this thread. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...reets-complex-fear-gauge-proliferates.312670/
If this was a real, live cash account...then talk about it -- Why are you being quiet/private about it... (hell, brag about it...don't be so humble or modest) I'd lov to see the details of this amazing feat, As well as personal viewpoints and opinions and what was going through your head, Start a new thread about it here on ET, or link it somewhere, But much more importantly, you mentioned "one month"...How relatively consistent are you in generating huge returns, Having an explosive month or period is kind of Meaningless...if you all give it back, or can't carry it out normally consistently, What was your daily/weekly/monthly % return average for the past minimum of two years?
I read over the thread and the details you have given: 1) You need to make 900% in 3 years. 2) You started with 1 million, and now have $100K 3) You lost $900K through bad trades plus $X amount in living expenses. 4) You believe you won't be alive past 3 years, so this is where the time urgency applies. 5) You are willing to take a 100% loss trying high risk trades/investments. 6) You plan to donate it all to charity if successful, and this is just an opportunity to leave the world leaving something beneficial behind for others. All of these things don't make sense when put together. If your goal is for charity: a) Why is there an urgency in specifically reaching $1 million? Shouldn't the goal be what's the best, least risky investment to maximize returns? Why 900%, why not a ~30%-50% yearly return compounded as a goal? b) Why are you willing to risk the remaining $100K when that is still a sizable amount for a donation? c) What was the main goal of your original million in the first place if the net result was for charity? As you stated since you think you have a "maximum" of three years left to live, that means you have far less time to manage your investments/trades since your condition will also be getting worse over time. It seems strange for a person with such a short time span to be focused on trading profits rather than enjoying the limited time left on less stressful pursuits. If you are making this all up, you would have been better served by a backstory of either getting a loan, creating an investment fund, or something similar that had a projected results due date of three years- at least that would adequately explain the amount and time urgency.
It doesn't happen very often anymore bro....but some lyrics truly do have meaning. Do with it what you will. Click to 1:50 and listen thru 2:12 "Now some guys they just give up living And start dying little by little, piece by piece Some guys come home from work and wash up, ...And go racin' in the streets".
If you PM me I can show you how I did it but you'll need an Instagram to follow me, maybe I'll make a thread about it one day.
