Well, let me explain. He said that he can make those kinds of returns for a .13% a month fee on gains.

He'll do that, even though he could just trade his own account and accumulate all the money.

    OK, now I'm confused.

  2. OP I am reminded of a short story my father once gave to me. It was called the 'Man who couldn't lose' and detailed the story of a guy who always won in a casino. He didn't bet much but every bet he placed was a winner. At the end of his life he whispered his secret to his children:

'When you are in a casino, look for the guy who is about to lose everything. The car, the house, the wife, the kids everything unless he wins this 'last bet' and then bet against him. Because that guy ALWAYS loses.'

You are that guy - I am tempted to ask what trades you are making and take the opposite side. Desperation is a poor counselor.

There is no way to make back your 1 million that does not involve the luck of the Irish. Good traders digest their losses and forget about them - the mental aspect of trading is more important than the technical one/.

No I'm afraid your father is that guy . If you'd said poker I might have agreed , but it is ( in a basic general way that casino games are generally dominated by chance ) your father attributing a positive probability to games that most often based on chance. What's more , the desperate guy does not always lose , you don't take after your Mother.

  6. That is what you are saying now you are in deep troubles, isn't it?
May I ask, when you were Rolling in the cash, did you do what you are now willing to do?

Say in passing, just checking on a VERY courageous trader I am involved with:
came up with 10k, up now at 40k after 3 months trading ( but 5 months very hard psychological/"spiritual" trainings) , and on target to 1 million in 12 months time,
as the capital will be increased if in 3 months time the performance is again improved.
Then the trader will be asked to totally quit and do charity work.

How long have you been trading live?

No. I'm a trader, not a manager. I enjoy trading an account, and that's my skill-set and competence. (I do now work for one, but I have no wish to run one, wouldn't know how to and don't particularly want to learn that. Nor do I have the right personality for one: I'm even more Aspergerish than Michael Burry.)

Again, as with your original post, you're looking at the entire enterprise from the perspective of profit-maximixation rather than from the perspective of risk-management, and that illustrates why you have this problem in the first place.

Probably it would ... I promise I don't mean it rudely (and I admire you for having the courage to admit publicly that you have a gambling problem) but I'm wondering whether the fact that that would be your play, and isn't mine, also actually relates to why you have this desperate problem? But I don't know. Anyway, I'm sorry not to be able to help you, but I think your situation has turned out to be far beyond my experience. I strongly suspect that no kind of trading is an appropriate answer for someone with a gambling problem, really. o_O

I'm available. But, I don't think this guy understands scaling very well.
900% comes with extreme leverage even with arbitrage. I would never do this in a retail account, it's not the leverage....
    it's the brokers.
