I feel like this whole let's ask a rediculus question and then accuse everybody of not being traders has been done before, way to many times.

scat im sorry but the minimum prerequisite to post on this thread is that you have to be out of college and have traded futures outside of a simulated environment, not an etrade account and an opinion.

Again this has gotten off topic. Not asking the college kids if they think "my strategy" is a good idea (havent shared it), or quizzing all the stock traders if they know how to calculate leverage on futures (they dont).

Simly asking to name firms that offer $250k of margin, and what deposit, profit split and desk fees they have. I had (have) accounts at two where i traded rates w enormous max clips in both outrights and spreads and reasonable size in all other products.

I have spoken to virtually all the firms and negotiated deals (or didnt bc of terms) but am trying to see if there is anyone i overlooked. The fact that in three pages of responses there hasn't been one firm mentioned makes me believe there aren't any traders left in this forum.

Mind sharing which firm? Do you remember the desk fees? Feel free to PM if you dont want to share publicly.

I've gotten other places to commit to smaller clip than im seeking initially but im not starting out w one lots.

Then please excuse my mentioning that there are other possible explanations for that, too: for example, it could be that there are many professional traders (both institutional and independent) here who chose - for whatever reason(s) - not to reply to someone whose original question displayed such an apparent confusion between 10:1 and 200:1 leverage. Are you one of the professionals? If so, please share some firms/terms you're familiar with. If not, I'm sure they can speak for themselves.

I trade for a hedge-fund, and don't know an up-to-date answer to what you asked. I wasn't speaking of myself - simply suggesting that the conclusion you'd drawn from the premise you stated might easily be a mistaken one. (Which it might.)

I'm sure they can, but some may - for the reason I suggested - have chosen not to, so the reasoning behind your disparaging comment about the community here may have been rather shaky, to put it politely.

You're welcome: I was thinking that you might perhaps be better placed to learn what you need to know from the forum's members by limiting your disparaging collective comments about us.

If at this point you don't know what I am looking for then you're plain ol' stupid. That one is just for you, not the collective forum.

  10. Calling Xela stupid is the equivalent of calling the Pope an atheist.
