There is nothing to worry. Scammers can only cheat gullible, greedy, not prudent people. Anyway, to improve your hard and soft skills / EQ and IQ, go scam the scammers.
I don't think that most of us become prudent until we've been greedy and lost. And that is what I worry about. Anyway, I think the best way to "scam" the scammers is to raise public awareness. Which is what I'm trying to do.
one strategy to scam back is to pretend you are convinced, and invest 200 dollars, then that 200 becomes 500. Now you say you plan to invest half million, but before that you need to test if the money can be withdrawed, you try withdraw 300; if you get 300, then withdraw another 100..
I suspect that they've thought of that, and I'm not going to assume that I can be smarter than they are. Anyway, I've not lost anything yet, except maybe my pride. And I'd have to think like them, which is not how I'm wired. I just want to have nothing to do with them. What with all of the anarchy today ... unimaginable retail theft, online scams, migrant chaos ...

I've read earlier that since Asians are onto this scam, the scammers have now targeted Westeners. This via CNN ... https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/17/asia/pig-butchering-scam-southeast-asia-dst-intl-hnk/index.html
I got scammed twice by fake crypto sellers, they use the P2P crypto selling option of Binance or HTX and pretend that they have USDT to sell. Once I place an order to buy USDT, they then message me to come to Whatsapp and they start chatting, but they don't give me their banking details to make a deposit and never fill my buy order. They say that their bank account has reached its monthly limit so they cannot sell me the USDT. Then they slowly start to condition me (their victim), saying how they make their crypto by investing in IDO, and they slowly point me to their IDO investment scam linked to Coibase wallet. I have a lot to write about this, I will start a new thread soon.
Depends on the scam but in general they won't let you withdraw, your $200 will become $1000 or more and they will put pressure on you to invest more and what is $1K or $5K for you?, let's do it and your investment then increases to x5 times your investment. You will see the money in the app and it will look real and great. Now if you want to withdraw it they will first try to persuade you against it, because this is a great investment and if you want great returns you must deposit more. If you insist to withdraw then they will ask you to verify that its you making the withdraw so they will ask you to duplicate the previous deposits. If you do, then they will ask you to also pay taxes and if you pay again they will come up with a different excuse. Basically your money only goes 1 way, from your account and into their pocket. Once they've conditioned you and you've made a significant deposit, that's it, the money is gone and you should stop paying more because you will never see your money again. The winning funds shown in the app are fake, there is no money for you to take out.
