According to a survey conducted by TNS Emnid, one of the largest polling institutes in Germany, nearly 90 percent of Germans do not believe the U.S. government explanation of what happened on September 11, 2001.

The poll was conducted for the German magazine World of the Miracles.

In addition to 89.5% not buying the official 9/11 story, the poll found that 73.7% of surveyed Germans believe that the Kennedy assassination was a conspiracy and nearly 80% believe the CIA conducts covert operations on German soil.

In 2003, a poll conducted by Forsa for the German newspaper Die Zeit found that 31% of Germans under 30 years of age believe the attacks were an inside job.

Skepticism about the official account has increased since 2001. In 2006, a New York Times/CBS News poll revealed only 16% of Americans thought the government was telling the truth about 9/11 and the intelligence prior to the attacks.

In 2004 a Zogby Poll showed that just over half of New Yorkers believed there was a cover up.

In May of 2006, another Zogby poll indicated approximately half of all Americans did not believe the official version.

Many Germans don't believe the Malmedy massacre happened either, but it did.

A belief isn't necessarily the same thing as a fact.

  3. I for one do not believe that the US government or agencies conspired to create 911 but I am convinced they may have put something of a gloss on the documentation that supported the 911 enquiry. There were intelligence deficiencies concerning Al-Q at most Western and Eastern intelligence agencies at the time, something no one is very proud of considering the massive funding they receive. The Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure of France and the Al-Mukhabarat al-'Ammah of Egypt were the only known agencies at the time that had insiders in Al-Q and even they were not aware of anything specific.

  5. With 9/11, there's substantial proof. I studied WWII from the German perspective, but this is the first I've heard of the Malmedy Massacre.

there are lots of people who claim the '68 moon landing was a hoax also. And they can actually present a pretty impressive case. But just like the 9/11 conspiracy theory, all of their 'evidence' can be refuted. At least, to my satisfaction it can be refuted.

The lesson in life is that things can appear one way on the surface, and you might assume that this appearance is 'truth'. You have to dig deeper and get another perspective before making up your mind. I wonder how many 9/11 conspiracy believers have taken the time to listen to the evidence refuting the conspiracy? And why wouldn't they take that time?....I think they are not interested in the truth. Their goal is try to show everybody else how smart they are. They are so much smarter than the typical American....

    pretty ironic isn't it?

  8. A lot of these 9/11 conspiracy theorists are jihadists, trying to turn US against one another. [IMG]

  9. Do you ever wondor why the 9/11 commission report does not talk about WTC 7 (so they just totally skipped covering a free fall 47 story building collapse....that NO PLANE ever hit)?
