    So what is your point? That instituting proper public health measures to mitigate Covid also causes instances of the flu (which is less infectious) to be greatly reduced. This is an obvious expected result.

    Right. Sure. Covid raging out of control because - virus - despite all these proper health measures you mention, and somehow flu drops 99%?

    Can you imagine how bad Covid would be without proper public health measures in place in many locations. Flu is significantly less infectious than Covid. Western countries that implemented proper public health practices to mitigate Covid generally saw flu infections drop 95% or so world wide for 2020/21 flu season.
