So on May 2nd Ontario reported no new Covid deaths. However on May 1st they had 16 deaths, on April 29th they had 25 deaths. Their seven day average of deaths is still at 15. The deaths are clearly correlated with the waning of the Omicron wave with an associated delay. As Covid becomes less prevalent in a local population the proper public health response is to reduce restrictions. Do you have a problem with Ontario following proper public health policy based on science?
I take it Neanderthals don't like science which why they never evolved. Yet you are living proof they are not quite extinct.
So let's see the reality. Taiwan walked away from a Zero Covid policy in recent weeks and they also opened up to tourism. Their current "high" Covid rate is still much less than most U.S. counties. Taiwan's daily Covid cases topped 10,000 only in the past week, for a nation of 23.5 million people where Covid testing is highly prevalent. Let's compare this to Florida which had over 11,000 new Covid cases on May 2nd -- in a state where Covid testing is very low.
I'm sure you won't mind me asking for you to backup the "walked away from zero covid policy in the last few weeks" and to backup the "opened up to tourism". Taiwan is a tourist hotspot, I guess. Please provide proof of these two changes? Let me guess..."go read"?
