Ratings will be better than San Antonia and Detroit, but not off the charts... You predict Cavs in 7? Didn't you also predict Miami would get out of the first round? LOL!
The ratings might be better with the Cavs in there instead of Detroit. Like many of my friends, I wasn't going to watch if Detroit made it to the Finals, but now that Lebron and Co. are doing so well and beat the Spurs in the regular season, we're going to watch. I think the Cavs have a good chance of stealing this. They match up well with the Spurs, have a lot of bigs to put on Duncan. If they can contain Parker in the paint and Lebron does his thing on a consistent basis, there's a real possibility of an upset. My dream scenario: Game 5, series is tied 2-2. Cleveland is getting blown out in the 4th quarter so one of their bench warmers body checks Parker into the scorer's table. Duncan and Ginobili leave the bench to see if Parker is OK. The league suspends them both for Game 6. Game 6, pan to a shot of Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, and Boris Diaw in the front row, grinning their asses off.
one prediction comes from the heart ( thats why you never wager on ur home team games ) other prediction comes from the gut...
everyone and their mother will be watching..how else can "we will witness" or whatver the slogan is, if you aint watching...seriously though i think the ratings are going to be huge..everyone wants to see this 22 yr old cat tear it up...even ZZzzzzzzz
I have to disagree. Everybody is sick of the NBA by now and no one basically cares who wins. I predict Spurs in 5.
according to Mike and mike in the morning this is going to be a highly rated finals..they could be wrong and u could be right...but ill go with the experts on this one...stay tuned to find out...the spurs/detroit finals were one of the lowest ever....so we have "100% upside to go" buy buy buy... p.s. will you be a witness is the question?
Well, I will be a witness to it that's for sure. This very well could never happen again in my lifetime, so gotta soak it up now. Call it the Cleveland curse or what, but the fans have to take what we can get b/c we are not used to having highly competitive teams... Always seems like something - no matter how bizarre - happens. Example - see the signing of LeCharles Bentley to the Browns. FIRST play of training camp he goes down with a career threatening injury on a play where no one touched him.... HUH?!?!? Only in Cleveland. And with the rumors that LeBron could be interested in New Jersey since he's buddies with Jay Z (minority owner in the Nets), you just never know what could happen in Cleveland. I predict the CAVS in 5 to win the series at home. I then predict the city of Cleveland sees the highest occurrence of heart attacks ever in a single night. It doesn't help with all the fat asses here, so the extra excitement will push a lot them over the edge...
I find it astonishing that there is so much interest in stan van gundy and that the magic would give up draft choices to get him. His contract, at least as reported, would make his pay equal to what I understand scott skiles makes for the bulls. I certainly don't get it. We'll see what happens.
really..overnight he become the hottest coah in the NBA....im really happy they gave something up for him..it be a shame for him not to be able to coach when it was riley who really forced him out of a team he took to one game away from the finals...thats wrong...it worked out for eveyrone except maybe TM and orlando...we really dont care about them anyways
