I know Dallas beat the Heat by something like 40 the last time they played. People though forget that both Shaq and Riley missed the first quarter of the season, that williams was hurting and ineffective all year, Mourning missed the last part of the RS ect. This Miami team has the best personnel in the NBA. All they need is to be healthy and firing on all cylinders.

Right on target, pabst. People forget all the years Shaq was with Lakers same sort of phenomena happened. Shaq rests during season, people predict he is done, then in playoffs he uses saved energy and dominates.

  3. For a team that beat the Spurs and they're way tougher than the Heat, the Mavs must be really good. I don't think the Heat have enough for the Mavs, but would like to see a competitive series.

  4. Given the type of certainty I am seeing from myopic Heat fans, I'll take the Mavs....

  7. Mavs take it.

Teams that win game 1 of finals, go on to win the series around 75% of the time....

Waaaaay too many turnovers for the Heat. 80 points isn't going to beat the Mavs.

This isn't Detroit, this is a deep, talented, and hungry team from the Western Conference....

  8. Case in point: Game 1.

Sorry, Cubano. Nowitzki has a sub-par game, Wade has a good game, Shaq has a decent game, but the Heat still lose.

This game revealed the Heat's weaknesses: foul shooting and an inconsistent supporting cast.

    Better luck with Game 2.

What lost us this game was Turnovers..Shaq is expected to miss 6 out of 10 shots and we are in the finals its actually a given...Wade got to the line and missed a couple i haven't checked the stats but is was underpar..and the rest of the team didn't get to the line i believe. tippy toes and wade turned over the ball 11 times at last count ( like i said haven't checked the stats yet ). The fact that Nowitski had a sub par game is actually to our favor..if we can contain him for the rest of the series to 15-20 points per game and we stop freaken turning over the ball we will win...We had a nice lead 1st Q and a great % shooting but the TO's messed up that rythem and forced us to play a different game...I actually liked what I saw...peace
