  3. 'Don't know who he is': Trump passes blame as he refuses to denounce racist rally jokester

Former President Donald Trump refused Tuesday to denounce a campaign event comedian's comment that Puerto Rico is a "floating island of garbage," according to a new report.

Trump denied any responsibility for the racist and vulgar remarks Tony Hinchcliffe made at the former president's rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, ABC News reported.

"I don't know him, someone put him up there," Trump told correspondent Rachel Scott. "I don't know who he is."

Hinchcliffe on Sunday also joked that Latinos “love making babies" and mocked a Black attendee about eating watermelon.

Trump used similar language when he denied knowledge of Project 2025, the controversial conservative policy platform whose contributors reportedly include more than 140 people who have worked with him.

"I know nothing about Project 2025," said Trump. "I have no idea who is behind it."

That should be his campaign slogan.

Trump's campaign pre-vetted the speaker's words in the event and had the comedian strike the word "cunt" to describe Harris. This gives them no excuse.

Its not Trump's fault, it's just that everybody around him is always incompetent. He can't take responsibility as the dear leader.

And he is not Hitler. Hitler didn't have bone spurs and went to war when called.

This fallacy is getting annoying, they streach the similarities to people are saying he is literally Hitler.

Continuum fallacy (also called the fallacy of the beard or sorites fallacy). This occurs when someone dismisses an argument by stretching the comparison to an extreme or absurd point and then rejecting it entirely because of this exaggeration.

In this case, it's the act of taking an initial comparison (like a figure’s authoritarian traits) and pushing it to the extreme (claiming they’re literally Hitler). Once that exaggerated comparison feels overblown, the entire analogy is dismissed as invalid, even if there was some legitimate basis in the original, milder comparison.
