Naturalized Citizens Make Up Record One-in-Ten U.S. Eligible Voters in 2020

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Banjo, Mar 11, 2020.

  1. I just think we are unique with respect to citizenship and our history versus other countries which is why I stated that no doubt 95% of voters are within 2 generations of naturalized citizens given the immigration patterns of the past 100 years. That is why I find it funny so many people while proud to be American are so against people who are not from here. That sentiment goes back to before the Civil War even.

The issue is not immigration, it is poverty. When a large group of poor people come in at great numbers, those who are here always object to the lower class coming in.

Irish in NY against the poor Irish immigrants coming after the great Famine
Cubans in Florida railing against the poor Cubans coming in the 1980s
    Latinos against the Mexicans.
Korean and Vietnamese against more recent Asians.

It was never about whether the next group came legally or snuck in, it is a tale as old as time..... the poor who make it and become well off always look down on the next group who get more of a head start and helping hand than they did and resent it.

  2. my post scored enough to get you all bent out of shape. also, I didn't imply anything, you illiterate douche-nozzle, I just called your racist ass out using your own words. stop with this "I put you on ignore shit", cause you know, you gonna keep reading all the posts anonymously and stay triggered for the rest of your pathetic life.

"All Americans are Americans." is not a concept. it is a FACT. that is the root of your ignorance.

    leftist moron...
all citizens may vote in the US and rightly so.
    so that leaves you out.

my wife voted from trump in the primary.
I did not, I left it blank. she was a little ticked.
so it would be you wishing to cancel her vote.
