  1. I was born a raised in Soviet Union and I have to tell you that in the society where nothing belongs to a person and everything belongs to everybody (it was declared so) nobody cares about environment, we never heard about such word like pollution we simply lived in it. The nature was destroyed without any mercy.

  2. Cuba is worthless!

Except for some very small-scale and very unskilled outsourcing, there are no big capitalistic opportunities there.

“The main objective for nanotechnology in Cuba is to join in 2015-2020 the leading nations in the region,” said the nuclear physicist, who is Fidel’s oldest son.

"Nanotechnology is about controlling matter on an atomic or molecular level and has wide applications in medicine, manufacturing and warfare."

"In the 1980s, Fidel Sr. opened the biotech research hub in Havana, which has propelled Cuba into the top tier of biotechnology producers in the world."

Agreed that we don't have democracy (perhaps among a minimally educated population that is a good thing). India, the most democratic nation on Earth, isn't doing that great! But it seems the U.S. has an overdose of capitalism. I much prefer an economic system where there is free competition to capitalism. It is difficult for free competition to survive in a capitalist economy, as the goal of capitalists is to concentrate wealth and control capital while minimizing competition via monopolies, cartels, trade organizations, and government regulation. Only the government and the courts can stand in their way, and in recent decades the government in the U.S. has failed miserably to thwart capitalism's unseemly side. The government has become an ally of capitalists rather than assuming its proper adversarial role. Capitalism may destroy the U.S. just as communism destroyed the USSR. But that's a long way off, and i'll be dead before it happens.

On a more upbeat note, there is at least a glimmer of hope that the Justice Department may be becoming more interested in playing their part as a protector of free competition. Now if only the FDA would change its ways.

  5. Only losers shill communism.

Cuba biotech is propaganda by Fidel Castro, the bastard son who is crazy because he was mistreated by their parents. And they did rightly so, like they knew in advance what a crap of son they had.

Cuba spends way MORE money in biotech than they get.
Loser castro is hoping he can get the cure for cancer or aids so that the States lift the embargo in need.

The achievement in the biotech is not propaganda. That is real.
Here is (western journal) with no reason for propaganda.

Garcia seems to be a "foaming-at-the-mouth" rabid anti Castro Cuban, whose ancestors came to Miami because of some perceived ill (a cow was taken from the family, or perhaps a house with some land), Castro may have taken the family cigar rolling business, or was it a whorehouse? Anyway a fucker like this would rather die than admit that, indeed under Castro Cuba had free medical care and free education. Most people had shit under Batista. These fuckers own Miami and they think they shit don't smell. Indeed Castro outlived many of these fuckers and he also outlived many of US Presidents, he outlived an ill conceived US invasion...This seems to be Karma IS on Cuba's side.
