  8. Sorry. I had done a research project some years back and the cost of 1MM btu approx 1000 cu ft.

cost at source 50 cents. .by the time u liquefy it and transport it - LG option and pay for all infra cost and re gasify it.. it cost like 4.5$. total 5$.. cost delivered.. hence its not cheap. japan is doing the same for decades. then japan got the wise idea to save money and diversify . the fukushima nuclear way.. we know what happened..N. gas is the cleanest , safest fuel for the long run.

  9. re to the above and LNG exports, the NG price in europe is much higher b/c NG is not traded globally like CL - it's more of a regional product. this is changing w/ LNG exports though. the reason arb doesn't eliminate this overnight (buy NG here at 2.5 add in costs for transpo then sell over there at 7.5 = winning) is b/c the infrastructure isn't there to export from the US to europe again this is slowing changing.

  10. btw. I called up Reliant energy - local electricity provider. owned by NRG

they told me. electricity prices for 12 months. is 8.6 cent/ kwh.
it is based on natural gas prices...
    WTF..

NG prices are All time low. still their rates have not moved much infact higher than last year. what the hell is going on.. i think utility companies are not passing off the low prices to us.
