Natty is moving on up, to the sky.....

  1. Here it is Sunday 11/25 at 11:53 am CST. I fired up ICE to see that Dec natty is trading 7.934 last, up quite a bit from last week. Looks like the colder forecast is going to get a squeeze going into settlement this Wednesday.
     
  2. It certainly looked like it might finish strong this weekend, but that was anything but the case in the end. We gapped open on Sunday night and then sellers took charge and have slaughtered the natty market over the past few days. While we settled at 7.203, the low today was 7.18 and the low of the year for the Dec contract was 7.165 back in September. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to next week's cold snap, particularly as cash has just caught up with the screen over the past two sessions.
