Nationwide French protest over right to retire at age 60

  1. Hate to break it to you, but we are in year 2010, not 2100. That program is not even a year old, plus neither you nor I have investigated the details and the devil is always in the details. Regardless, it is far from a representative of what is going in today's higher education and has been going on for decades.

Everyone thinks a sinking dollar and creating what the fed thinks is a "little" inflation to help the economy move forward is going to put the economy back on track. No one has a clue the amount of damage bubble ben bernanke and friends are doing to this economy.

I think this takes place over the next decade. Wages are going to skyrocket in third world countries sooner than many think.

But CEO's will get their bonus as corporations will be able to report illusionary inflation profits. What's not to like from the elite standpoint? Banks forecloseing so they swap the depreciating loan fotr the appreciating property asset.

I agree, I have talked with many of my friends and they do probably only work maybe a solid 2-3 hours out a full 8+ hour work day, some go on facebook to update their status and even shop online.

As for America being the most Obese I have to agree with that, there a lot of obese people out there, I heard one statistic that is actually pretty amusing, saying that by the year 2020 75% of the US population will be obese or overweight.

Yep another RECORD amount of bonuses being paid out to the greedy on wallstreet, Over $144 Billion dollars worth, while no one protests or even shouts a word of how dirty these fools are.

All while the banks still lie and cheat their way to profits, thanks to all the trillions in bailout money given to the banks that led up to this credit crisis in the first place.

So much for those childrens stories where good always triumphs over evil.

So much for this silly idea that money doesn't matter - seems they forgot that the people with the money can buy the politicians.

  10. Is reading comprehension a toughie for you? I just stated that I did not research the details which are always key. It may be nothing more than a tricky PR move or it may a truly legit philanthropic effort. Regardless, the program is 6 months old and is being enacted in ONE ivy league school. To use this one event and blanket the whole system under a generalization is plain ignorant.
