Nationwide French protest over right to retire at age 60

  1. Direct voting by internet per se? That's a popular theme lately. How do we overcome hackers? Have a solution for that. They can hack DoD I think they can hack voting machines and already do to a small extent.

  5. Raising the retirement age will only increase the general unemployment.

There is simply not enough jobs to go around in many of the developed countries. More and more of the so called jobs are make-work red-tape jobs that harm rather than help the economy.

  6. They are not that stupid. If the older workers don't retire, more of them would not be able to get started in the work place. There is not enough decent jobs to go around.

  7. Sorry no way on taking away any voting rights. What is lacking is the ability for people to think logically, critically, and objectively. This is very lacking in the American High School System. At least I had civics class back then. I didn't learn to analyze a situation objectively until college and really when I went into business. These are teachable skills. So is financial responsibility which goes hand and hand with our current issues. I have some hope you see people on these tv shows admitting they are financial idiots and making positive changes. Society can change. We need real leadership and good role models, not taking away the public's right to vote.

You might want to give thought to the possibility that the dumbing down of the masses is a deliberate strategy - especially WRT the financial issues and thus the products that suck out and skim the bulk of someones wealth to the point where they have to borrow to meet their financial product obligation (Google Elizabeth Warren's Jefferson lecture on the middle class on Youtube). Wasn't always like this.

Makes you think it would be worth the extreme tedium of becoming fluent in the unreadable Das Kapital so that you could get to know her better.

What makes me sure that she is a Socialist you ask? Simple, if she is participating in anything other than a rally demanding tax cuts for the rich she "must" be a pinko, Marx quoting lesbo leftie - oh no, forgot about that socialist tendency, maybe I won't waste my time memorising Marx after all.

  10. Easy to say when your job doesn't depend on them voting for you. Besides, one man's laziness is another man's cultivation of the finer things in life. Only calvinist freaks want to spend most of their prime years slaving in an office.
