All the shit from the left never works, the War on Poverty, complete failure, no? And when viewed in the light of the astronomical sums wasted on it, it's an astounding failure... the Sexual Revolution, wow... it brought us 40-50 sexually transmitted diseases, killed off every last hemophiliac, etc.... women's lib, made women happy right? Bullshit, wives now have to work just to pay the taxes priced into everything, not to mention the income taxes... Shit from the right like the War on Drugs, that shit doesn't work either btw... but the left, wow, way more destructive than all the rest put together...

  3. It doesn't take much to topple a House of Cards.

Its gotten to the point where a fellow can't even go to the can or the ATM in peace no more without getting confusing messages. With the latter, its "insufficient funds" .. confusing because whose, theirs or yours?

  4. Yeah, right here in this thread. Watch the soon-to-be-poor cast aspersions and judgement at/on the already-poor.

  6. Could it be that the reason America's poverty rate is so high... is because it pays so well?

  7. actually benefits in America are really low to non-existent compared to Europe.

  8. maybe tax cuts for everyone can fix it.

  9. The less "Europe-like" we are, the better.

I was wondering how many fewer poor we'd have if they got even much less from the government... the bigger the government check, the less incentive there is to work to improve one's financial status.

  10. Well, we can't "cut taxes for everyone"... as about 1/2 of the US population pays zero or near-zero Federal income tax.

The answer, however, IS "lower taxes", including on business ... to encourage foreign employers to build their products here and employ American workers.

Of course that necessitates smaller government.... unlikely to have that until after the collapse/revolution.
