You have to be very careful with these numbers if they come from the Trump administration, because they count the crimes of illegally entering the country or overstaying a visa, etc. That makes ever person here illegally a criminal, and of course they are. But those are not the crimes that support Trumps argument! For all we know, and I would not be surprised to find out, that the Trump administration is including traffic fines, hiding out, running from ICE, etc. They want you to think that all these crimes involve violence, or guns, or crimes such as burglary. The numbers the administration and Trump throw out are meaningless without a breakdown of what crimes they are including and how many in each category. These numbers are fish bait for fools. Don't get hooked. We need better immigration laws and laws that are tougher on employers of illegals, like Trump. But we need smaller class sizes in our public schools even more! Once people are better educated, they won't get hooked quite so easily.
Illegals should not be in this country. Go back to your own country. Even if a thousand of you commit one crime, it's still a crime and it's an additional crime to the existing ones. We don't need extra crimes when we already have enough in our country. Leftists are a bunch of crazy people who want more crimes.
I agree with this. I'd go a step further and just remove the reasons Illegals come here. Take away public schooling, make it impossible to drive. No medical insurance. No employment opportunities. No food stamps. Zippo. Children born from illegal parents don't get citizenship.
The freebies they get is the magnet that draws them into the US! Maybe, we should pass laws that bar any illegal (foreigners) among us from receiving any public benefits. It is ironic the legal immigrants are barred from using public benefits and they follow all our rules! However, no such restriction on the illegals (foreigners). Take note that we have traitor politicians in our midst who encourage and facilitate these illegals (foreigners) and even help them circumvent our laws so as, to receive those benefits! Those politicians and their fellow hacks need to all be charged and locked up in addition to forfeiting their pensions and other government benefits! We need to re-take the House, elect more conservatives in the mold of Ted Cruz and Mark Meadows then, we might finally, get a bill that addresses this issue passed and signed into law by President Trump!
This is a very good point that you make. It goes to the heart of why we have illegals here in the first place. But unfortunately it doesn't say anything about why we don't do the things you suggest would be very effective in driving the number of illegals to virtually zero. In reality, all we need to do is one of the things you suggest and everything else will follow, and that is: " No employment opportunities. " (This, by the way, is why other civilized countries do not have an illegal immigration problem!.) The reason we haven't done these things, that would undoubtedly be effective, though some of these things would be inhumane, is because U.S. employers want to hire at low wages and not have to pay benefits. In other words, our influx of illegals is part of another indirect tax payer subsidy of U.S. business, from small business owners, local contractors, etc., right up through major corporations and things like gulf courses and country clubs. And it is an inescapable conclusion that the policies of the republican party are far more at fault here than the democrats . The democrats recognize why these illegals are here. They don't want to shift blame on the illegals. They recognize the real reason there are so many illegals here. And it's why our enforcement has been so weak under Republican administrations. Illegals were wanted by U.S. business, particularly by big agriculture. It was the democratic Obama administration that really cracked down on illegal immigration, but at the same time wanted to recognize that DACA kids were here through no fault of their own. The flow of illegals is now at a forty year low, but that is due to steps taken by Obama. Trumps posturing is all for show. He is quite successfully pulling the wool over the eyes of his hapless, naive supporters. I am in support of everything you suggest. But we can't do these things to those who are here because we wanted them here. I strongly believe we should invest in and help our DACA kids who are here because their parents were wanted as cheap labor by American business. Lets draw a line; turn over a new leaf; put into practice everything you suggest. But the only measure we need to take is strict enforcement of E-verify and to come done very hard on every employer of illegals. Lets not be ungrateful ungrateful jackasses by punishing the wrong people, i.e., those who have been here for some considerable time because they were wanted by American employers. The vast majority worked hard, paid taxes, and are not felons. We also must recognize the value of legal immigration and the reality that we need immigrants for a healthy society and economy. You have the right idea. Your ideas need to be selectively and carefully implemented. We have an asshole as a President, but we don't have to be an asshole nation. (By the way there is one thing we can never do and remain civilized. And that is to deny emergency medical care to anyone whether illegally, temporarily, or permanently in our country.) But if we crack down on employers of illegals, there will be very, very few here illegally, and providing medical assistance won't be a significant problem.
https://thehill.com/blogs/floor-act...e-court-likely-to-strike-down-trump-emergency Rand Paul: Supreme Court likely to strike down Trump emergency declaration Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) predicted on Sunday that the Supreme Court will likely strike down President Trump's emergency declaration, adding that the president's actions went against "the will of Congress." "Without question, the president’s order for more wall money contradicts the will of Congress and will, in all likelihood, be struck down by the Supreme Court," Paul wrote in a Fox News op-ed published on Sunday evening. The GOP senator predicted that Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, Trump's Supreme Court nominees, "may rebuke him on this." "Every single Republican I know decried President Obama’s use of executive power to legislate. We were right then. But the only way to be an honest officeholder is to stand up for the same principles no matter who is in power," Paul writes in the op-ed. He added that Republicans who were supporting Trump's emergency declaration after criticizing Obama's actions "will and should be condemned for hypocrisy."
but how 'bout them taxcuts.... https://thehill.com/homenews/senate...olution-blocking-trumps-emergency-declaration McConnell: Senate will pass resolution blocking Trump's emergency declaration Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday said that he expects a resolution blocking President Trump's emergency declaration to pass the Senate, but he does not believe lawmakers will be able to override a veto. "I think what is clear in the Senate is that there will be enough votes to pass the resolution of disapproval, which will then be vetoed by the president and then in all likelihood the veto will be upheld in the House," McConnell said while speaking to reporters in Kentucky. The Senate will vote on the resolution before lawmakers leave town on March 15 for a weeklong recess. The resolution blocking Trump's emergency declaration appeared to clinch the 51 votes needed to pass the Senate when Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced over the weekend that he would vote for it. In addition to Paul, Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) have said they will vote for a resolution of disapproval. Several other GOP senators, including Sens. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah), have yet to say how they will vote.

Is Nancy playing 12D chess or what ? Pelosi announces vote to override Trump’s veto Shortly after President Donald Trump vetoed a Senate bill overruling his national emergency, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced that Congress will vote to override the veto on March 26. “The House and the Senate resoundingly rejected the President’s lawless power grab, yet the President has chosen to continue to defy the Constitution, the Congress and the will of the American people,” Pelosi said in a statement announcing the override. “House Republicans will have to choose between their partisan hypocrisy and their sacred oath to support and defend the Constitution,” she added.
