Homeland security estimates as of 2015 there were approximately 700,000 illegal entrants in the past 5 years. That’s the highlighted portion of the screenshot in my previous post. Now you have to marry a gay man. Enjoy yourself.
Trump was super subdued. His most effective argument is we are out space to house them and the system is stressed. Democrats are holding the stronger hand, obviously. Their message cut right through, let’s open the government and work this out in a democratic way. Schumer smacked trump by saying he was throwing a temper tantrum in a national address, I kind of didn’t like that but we are in a whole new era with Trump. Anyway, I didn’t see anything from Trump that would really move the needle in trump’s way. Next up, Republican defections in Congress.
I opted to read the Mueller bombshells instead. Did he puss out or will he invoke powers? I've got some US steel to short.
Futures seem to like the address and rebuttal. What do you think is going to happen tomorrow? Deal or no deal? Think Trump will open the government back up with some face saving maneuver? I don't know what that could be. I better turn on Fox and see what his advisers are saying.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/po...security-crisis-border-address-nation-n956466 Trump did not declare a national emergency, which he previously suggested he had the authority to do to build the wall. short X....was hoping to wait for the courts to slap him down, but he pussed out where are you tracking steel futures? May hold until shutdown's over. The market knows there was no emergency. I expect green day since there's no danger on commerce being impacted across the border.
Yeah that was old news (assumed at least) from earlier today, hence that 2PMish run. I wanna know whats gonna go down tomorrow when they meet again. Schumer and Pelosi seemed pretty resolute. If this shutdown goes much longer, it will start having a material effect on things. What's a Trump to do?
Nope. That's a different measurement. It is an estimate of how many illegals that entered in the five years before 2015 are part of the population. As you and your ilk consistently argue, it is a net number because so many are also returning. So you have many, many more who entered and left or cannot be accounted for during that period in addition to the ones they are saying are part of the population. You know people like Officer Singhs brother would not have counted if he had not been apprehended because he was headed back to Mexico. Let;s keep it more simple, shall we and look at the most recent year: Border patrol reported 521,000 for FY2018, although the last months were rising. How many people were living here in 2015 who had come in the previous five years and have not left is another study. I posted the yale study which is widely reported so you can read that. And I have said that I dont defend either their report or the governments but - it is significant that their study places the real number of illegals here at exactly twice what the government does. Interesting that. Nope. 1,000,000 plus southern border illegals a year. Not counting the massive number of invaders coming by visa overstay. 50,000 a month times 12 times 2 since the border patrol acknowledges that they only get fewer than half of them. NATIONAL CRISIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
