  2. assuming that's true.. so what? the debt still went up 5T+ under obama.. so far. that is the same way you are judging Reagan and Bush, Reagan had the cold war, Bush had 9/11.. and the fed govt has an obligation to defend the country. They aren't obligated to provide food stamps, bailouts, stimulus, 99 weeks unemployment, welfare, or any other such thing.

  3. Yes Bush had 9/11.The unfunded Iraq war was not needed for 9-11.The Afghanistan war as it was handled was not needed.Obama took out Kadfai with a few missiles,Top Taliban and Al leaders with drones and Bin Laden with intelligence and Navy Seals. That cost much less then What Bushs Iraq and Afghanistan war costs. If bush wanted those wars he should have paid for them or at least tried to pay for them.9-11 also had nothing to do with many of the other Bush polices that lead to the 1.2 trillion dollar deficit spending he created and left

  4. This is your opinion.. Congress voted for both wars, in bipartisan fashion. Again the govt isn't obligated or even authorized to spend on ANY of the things I just listed. bush leaving office with a 1.2T deficit doesn't make the last 5T any less obama's debt, he didn't do shit about it, in fact he added to it. By your own admission with both the stimulus and with obamacare, which hasn't even "kicked in" yet. That doesn't include 99 weeks unemployment, higher welfare, etc. If he gave a damn about the debt or deficit he would have done something, anything, about it.. he hasn't. His own budget proposal didn't receive a single vote in either house of Congress.

the bottom line is the national debt doesn't belong to just Presidents but also Congress.. it is an accumulation of reckless, sometimes illegitimate OVERSPENDING perpetuated by all lawmaking bodies of the fed govt. It needs to be cut back drastically, not increased and obama increased it. His economic recovery plan was MORE spending lol.

  5. This is your onion.Obama wouldn't have 5 trillion in debt if he wasn't left with Bushs 1.2 trillion dollar budget deficit.I put more blame on the person who made the mess then the person who is taking to long to clean it up.I wish people people would stop voting republicans in office who fuck things up then want democrats to fix them

Obamas 2013 budget deficit is nearly the same as it was when he came into office which is much better then Bush who came into office with a balanced budget and turned it into a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit

    Boys....Boys.... BOYS!!!!

Let's not argue about who did what and when....... We all have our steadfast opinion.

The real question is WHO is going to get the chance to start fixing it. (if it's not already too late)

(Ask yourself this: why is a $20 bill worth $20.....? Because we all agree it is.)

We have a choice in November.

One that believes in big government and Considerable Socialism that can solve all the problems. Government run healthcare. Rewrite the Constitution and restrict freedoms. Dictate what kind of light bulb you can buy. Green renewable energy that can (so far) only exist with massive government subsidies. (and has pretty much done the same thing that is going on here.......point the finger at someone else for the last 3 1/2+ years)

    or...

One that believes in limited Government, free markets and Capitalism. A reformed Healthcare system that is better if left in the private sector. Freedom of choice. Respects the Constitution and sees no grounds for allowing the U.N. to change it. Energy independence using all viable resources.

The argument has been the same ever since the Federalist and the Wigs. The major difference between the two parties is that with the Republicans the voters get screwed most of the time. With the Democrats the voters get screwed all of the time.

So since I would prefer getting screwed as little as possible. And Socialism has been a complete failure everywhere, every time, and in every way it's been tried. I'll continue to vote Republican every time.

I might also mention. I'd rather have someone that was very successful financially at Bain Capital then someone who did drugs as a community organizer for Prez.

  7. Name ONE thing he has done to clean up the deficit or debt.

The only things the federal government should be funding are the things they are required to, then this debt would not be much of an issue, it might not even exist.

And again bro, you are just comparing obama to Bush.. obama still owns these huge deficits, Bush isn't President, he is.

  9. Social Security must be removed from the general fund. That's the only way to save it. Any other plan will fail due to the fact that congress will just continue to steal the money to finance everything else under the sun. Raise the age to 100, cut the benefit in half. Doesn't matter. The program will still go broke if congress can get their hands on it. Congress is the problem!

A recurring theme, for anyone who has stopped to think about the origin of most our problems.
