What's amazed me the most is how well the FANG stuff has held up. I was thinking that they would show momentum on the way up as well as down. But not the case. Many of the much more "defensive" stuff, utilities and staples has been hit a lot harder than MSFT for example. MSFT only slightly down YTD. So I guess just buy the momentum / glamour stocks that have positive earnings.
This is a virus induced economic lock down. This virus is extremely temperature sensitive and most likely will not survive the summer heat. Furthermore, all the scientist around the world are working around the clock to defeat this virus. Thus, I think, in the worst-case in scenario, the spread curve of this virus will flatten and start heading down as the weather warms up, So I believe by the end of May or the beginning of June many of the social restrictions will be lifted and businesses will start hiring people back and the economic wheels that have been greased with 2.2 trillion dollars and endless QE from the fed will start turning with quickness. Until then, be safe, be cool and start nibbling on some of the G5 stocks!
Explain the growing number of cases in Africa and South America then, where it is damned hot! And in North America, it does not really get hot hot hot until August.
Whats your evidence? As far as I know there have been no peer reviewed studies on heat treatment of the china virus.

It is spreading but in very slow rate compared to Europe and the US and mostly because of the lack of social restrictions.
