Hi guys I am new to the forum. First let me say thank you to everybody sharing their insights in here. This is really helpful. I am looking for historical data for Nasdaq stocks which had a gap up at the opening of trading. So for example I want to look at every top 10 Gaps in the Nasdaq from the start of the year until now to backtest my strategy. What I need is the top Gaps AT THE OPEN. I used this list http://www.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3021-gaincomp-gainer-20180601.html?mod=mdc_pastcalendar by now but that only shows the top percentage gainers at the end of the day, while those stocks which had gaps but faded are not visible anymore. So using this list as a basis is producing dangerous results imho. Can anybody help? Thank you Jochen
Something like this: https://www.barchart.com/stocks/performance/gap/gap-up That's just raw dollar gaps, but it was the first result for "Stock gap scanner" on google. So I'm sure this exists off-the-shelf on some other scanner.
