Nasdaq level III

What is beneficial about having Level III access? I know it is reserved for market makers and they can update their quote. Does it give them a superior edge?

Tommorows prices, but why would you want that, it would take all the fun out of the game.

 

From the perspective of a trader, there is no benefit.
