Does anyone know how to keep NASD licenses active (7, 55, 63) and prevent expiration, while working at a hedge fund?

    Thanks

    You don't...

    Use it or lose it.

You could try having one of your fund's executing brokers hang it for you

Your licenses can be reinstated without exam if they've been inactive for less than 2 years.

AND beyond 2 years you can apply for 'relicense without examination' with the NASD. Basically, you write a letter to them detailing what you have been doing that is equivalent to working in a licensed capacity (trading for a hedge fund would certainly qualify). They review your request, and let you know after a couple of months. This is not hearsay, I have actually done this for a colleague (although he was only a few months over 2 years)
