Of course it is not fact. Not yet at least. But think logically for once. The rapid pace of scientific advancement with regard to space travel over the past ~100 years is likely to continue. Can you not see that it is only a matter of time before humans can travel great distances in space?
lol no matter how fast the pace of scientific progress the impossible remains still...the impossible. your logic is flawed
Things are happening slowly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable_specific_impulse_magnetoplasma_rocket "NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said that VASIMR technology could be the breakthrough technology that would reduce the travel time on a Mars mission from months to days"
No, YOUR logic is flawed (if what you said can be considered "logic"). Nothing is impossible (with the possible exception of your profitable trading blotter). 100 years ago people thought it was impossible to put man on the moon. Now it is a walk in the park. 100 years from now humans will be travelling even further in space, likely to distances that you now consider "impossible".
Because of the great strides humankind has made "nothing is impossible", and you call this logic? lol sorry to put a pin in your bubble but much is impossible and will remain impossible
"Imagination is more important than knowledge." - Albert Einstein If the great minds and inventors in our history were as short sighted as you, we would still be stuck in the stone age.
That quote has nothing to do with making the impossible possible. Not everything is possible regardless of our rate or depth of learning and discovery.
i have no doubt that, given enough time, we could get there. the question is whether we have enough time before we kill ourselves.
