essentially the same performance of an S&P index fund over the same period, right? Just wondering. Are they cashing in on inside information or just surfing on the crest of a wave?

Jan Lemiech? I don't even know who the heck that is? Obviously they didn't actually look at Pelosi's track record, as it's not any better than a passive index investor, but that's no reason to call her a "complete piece of shit human being".

  4. I agree with you (I posted the screenshot because of "The Market Wizards" reference). My statement is a personal statement, because I really, really dislike her. For example, I really like Bernie Sanders, and he is not an options trader, as a side "gig"...

And her personal fortune, being very conservative and unbiased:

    "Our ruling: False
The claim that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is worth more than $196 million while working on a $193,000 salary is FALSE. Financial disclosures show that Pelosi’s net worth isn’t close to $196 million, and the salary used in the post is wrong. Pelosi earns $223,500 a year as speaker and is worth about $106 million, using the method the Center for Responsive Politics outlines for calculating net worth of Congress members."

Just USD $106 Million Dollars!!! While a "Public Servant"!!!

So, I do call her a complete piece of shit human being...

as far as i know, she's not the option trader. If your beef is she came from money, or is married to money, or built wealth while serving, there's a long list of "public servants" guilty of it:

if your beef is that she's feeding insider info to her husband to act on, well, proof needs to be presented.

Her husband of nearly 60 years in an accomplished VC and businessman. It's completely reasonable for their net worth to be $106M, I personally know half a dozen VCs much younger than him who are worth north of $100M and there are hundreds of them around the Bay Area. He's had plenty of successful exits and some other successful business ventures, his wealth creation is well documented and easy to track and none of it was really related to anything his wife was doing except the usual benefits you get from being well networked in the valley regardless of how you built that network.

I don't like Nancy Pelosi, she's mean spirited and that makes her ineffective at her job in my opinion. But there's exactly zero evidence that she somehow illegally or unethically leveraged her position in the house to make her and her husband money, and to the contrary there's a long list of public disclosures that show exactly what financial transactions she has made. If there is evidence to the contrary I'd love to see it, I wouldn't mind another reason to dislike her. But as far as I know it just doesn't exist and I'm not willing to make shit up on someone just because I don't like them. Simply possessing wealth is not proof or even an indicator of malfeasance.

  7. I am pretty sure she is NOT the only one. She does not come from money. However, she sits at the top, and sets an example for others.

USD $106 Million personal fortune, while making $200K a year. I mean, what more proof do you need?

A piece of shit human being, and I really dislike her...

@Sig Check out how she treats the highly respected "60 Minutes" Journalist, at 9:15. Like a thug...

***On a side note, this reminds me of this:
"How much did Goldman Sachs Profit 2008?
NEW YORK, December 16, 2008 - The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today reported net revenues of $22.22 billon and net earnings of $2.32 billon for the year ended November 28, 2008. Dec 16, 2008"

    "Who is Henry Paulson?
Henry Paulson, the 74th Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, served under President George W. Bush between July 2006 and January 2009.1
Before his tenure as Secretary of the Treasury, Henry “Hank” Paulson, Jr. worked for Goldman Sachs for 32 years, including his time as the chair and chief executive officer. Paulson is best known for leading the response to the 2008 financial crisis while serving as the of Secretary of the Treasury."

PS. Can you see something? Maybe proof needs to be presented on this truly magical coincidence...

I spoonfed you the list showing she does not "sit at the top". I even gave you more reasons than "just coming from money" hoping you'd be curious to find out.

  9. I think USD $106 Million+ is pretty much up there (and she is "at the top, politically", is what I implied). I just spoonfed you a direct-to-the point "60 Minutes" Clip, that shows how these people operate, and think (and she is not the only one, per your link). She even belittles the journalist by telling him "what is your question"???

    She is scum...

no, you showed me how someone did something and tried to tie it to someone else entirely w/a blanket "these people". Listen, I have absolutely no illusion thinking politicians aren't corrupt, and Pelosi's pillow talk w/her husband may involve things that are straight up illegal. It's another thing entirely to have cold hard facts instead of suspicions.
