Naked Short Selling

  1. In Enron alone, nearly $25 billion was lost by people, pension funds and other institutional investors who purchased shares at fraudulently inflated stock prices.

Nutmeg: OT? I didn't notice any topic here, just a rambling monologue by the man of La Mancha.
You can use the inverse etfs to hedge.

  2. Ha, speaking of Enron, little sidebar.

John Arnold, Houston, Age 33, Centaurus Energy. Formerly of Enron.

"Arnold and his team of ten traders- walked away from the dustpile of Amaranth with a mountain of cash. Arnold claimed the bulk of the profits with returns of 317 % before fees on 2 billion in assets."

Brian Hunter, the bull was squeezed by Arnold.

Thanks for the heads up on the inverse etf's, at first glance looks a little bold, I'll do more reading.

  3. Ladies, ladies, ladies! The name of this site is Elite TRADER, not Elite Fundamentalist.

You will see later Greenberg has an undenialble link to the dark side. Why do you think the SEC subpoenaed him, before Cox rescinded it????

CSIQ and JASO are two of the hottest charts out there. He is called in when the crowed trade goes against them. If you watch what he hits, you have a better than even chance of catching some nice volatility.

If you remember, when these guys would bash, the stocks always went down. Isn't it interesting that a most visible "reporter" hit them and CSIQ and JASO were actually up? That is what I was trying to point out. But you guys are just too smart for me.

The idea is, to soak up some of this stuff, and get a little bit of an edge. Greenberg is nothing but a shill for the dark side. If you watch his stuff, you'll find a high correlation to the SHO list, and he usually comes out when he has to. The stocks generally move up, as the naked shorts cover into it.

  4. JASO +4.9% (initiated with an Outperform at Raymond James),

Case in point. If you're looking for ideas, he's the (opposite) man.

  5. Reality Check:

CSIQ debuted last November at $15 and has been in a $9-$14 range all year. Short interest is 1 mil. of 27 mil. float.

JASO - short interest of 250k out of 46 mil. float. Up $10 since ipo a few months ago (along with entire Chinese mkt)

Having read both you and Greenberg, I would put more trust in him than you. If anything, you are the shill.
