Nailed what? The article itself is a red herring...that whole approach to this issue. Agree Jones is way over complicating this...trying to cudgel the left with it. If Colin Kapernick represents the left, then maybe. But fact is, he started it in disgust about a plethora of YouTube vids that were coming out a year ago showing police brutality generally, and apparently disproportionately against blacks. It was about authority at local and state levels that were disrespecting any sense of rules, rule of law, and/or fair play...and an apparent lack of interest in justice at the federal level to do anything about it. Perhaps Kapernick was mistaken about some facts. Bob Costas wondered whether Kapernick could really articulate the nuance of the argument, as if he had taken a semester of college from a radical professor. Other than radicalizing professors, you can't tell me this specific outcome was orchestrated by the left...to take down the NFL. What no one is wondering is why the pledge of allegiance is forced upon all players, in public, prior to each game. You may say, it's the national anthem, not the pledge of allegience. No, it has been made into a pledge of allegiance to something extremely vague and suspicious: the flag. Again, can anybody tell me what the flag stands for?
the flag is a statement and a symbol of this... We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Whether you realize it or not there are people, cronies and lefties who would rather not a nation or a group of people who feel they have a right of self determination. So, in very simple terms... those who support the flag, support and demonstrate for all peoples rights of self determination. To demonstrate against right of self dermination and liberty is misguided at best. Kapernick and the NFL should have be demonstrating in support of the flag. Maybe pointing to it... after the anthem or before.
