"There are numerous Myths floating around the Internet regarding Windows XP, especially relating to Optimizations and Security. Hopefully this site will debunk some of these. Windows XP is still supported by Microsoft through April 8, 2014." http://home.comcast.net/~SupportCD/XPMyths.html take particular note of 'Prefetch - Folder Cleaning' and CCleaner warning Optimizing: http://home.comcast.net/~SupportCD/OptimizeXP.html
Interesting but not 100% correct. For example, if you use Superspeed Ramdisk then XP 32 can benefit from more than 3G of RAM and thus a page file on the ramdisk will operate outside of the 3G limit nullifying the argument.
Well, if you've got enough memory, like 3gb+, you can just disable the pagefile altogether. Putting on the RAMdisk is silly.
