I am like as swing trading strategy, not as scalping usually, but sometime play as scalping too but not always, in my view long term timeframe giving better understanding about trend market although not always I can make accurate analysis
These days, with most brokerage, you can set up alerts and they will notify you when certain trigger points are reached. And you can trade with your cell phone so, you really don't need to be glued to your screen. Some posters here are even able to automate their trading and let his/her computers do all the trading. I don't day trade (stocks or options - not profitable for me) but do transactions a few time a day which I am now mostly using my iPhone. I do have to do my analysis and computation for trigger points using my laptop, which I also carry (in my car) with me most of the time when I am out and about.
I am hear also some trader using automatic trading with robot, and they using vps to running robot full time, this is also one benefit for busy trader, but they need choose and using robot that profitable and need research to founded might also need trial and error
Daytrading is like being a sniper....just sitting/laying in the bushes the entire day...waiting for that ideal moment to strike
Interesting that's also similar to my main strategy these days for longer term trading. Maybe only fire from the bushes 3 times a year when the herd is panicking.
