I'll be tuned in. MMT seems like a great YM futures trader from looking at his last journal and his recent market calls. When you say you go for 40 points a day on the YM, do you mean 40 per contract? Furthermore, you seem very consistent with YM so why don't you switch over to ES where you can do some real size without any liquidity issues? And what's your background insofar as how long have you been trading and how long did it take you to get to this level? thanks
Monthly Dow Cash Chart, ADX turning up from under 20 and crosssing -DI. Bye George, this is might bullish, not saying we wont have corrections, but this is a major buy signal folks. We are going higher with out a doubt.
Thats a lot of questions, yes 40 points per contract, I am not a large enough trader to do size in ES, when I mean size I mean 100 contracts. I have been a student of the markets since Nov 1999. I have been trading YM for close to 3 years.
Buying one contract here @12635, stop @12570. I will add one more @ 12620, and another @ 12603, with a stop for all three @ 12570. The timing is horrible, but lets see what happens.
I bring that up because it amounts to the same thing, 10 points on the YM is equivalent to 1 point on the ES. 1 point for 1 contract is $50 for the ES and 10 points for 1 contract is also $50 for the YM, Volitilty of the YM is generally 10 times the points of the ES, so I guess it doesnt matter what you trade from a return point of view. Am I correct in this assumption?
