  3. If we close above 118.23 it might be worth adding some more BSC shares...:p Short-term target should be 122.00 and 124.55...

By the way, I still like FINANCIALS / BROKERS...:D

  4. If you are looking for a reason :

Bear Stearns (BSC 119.0, +4.76) is a standout this morning. Briefing.com is hearing that the stock is up on chatter that a Chinese bank could take a 30% stake in the company. A Bear Stearns spokesperson would not comment on the rumor...

Bear Stearns returned to the public debt market on Thursday with a $2.5bn note sale, seen as a sign that it is not suffering a funding crisis that would require finding a large outside investor. :p

The debt sale came as shares in Bear Stearns slipped almost 2% on doubts over reports that an outside investor would soon buy a substantial stake. Sources close to Bear denied it was in advanced talks with anyone about such a sale, although conversations had occurred previously. The bond sale came a day after the New York Times reported that potential investors in Bear could include Warren Buffett. The paper also cited Bank of America, Wachovia and two Chinese banks as possible investors. Bear shares closed up about 8% on Wednesday on the report.
