  1. And if we get lucky enough, we can all pay a world carbon tax too! Everybody!

"I believe the US Government, Democratic to the core, will bail out California, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey, all decrepit Democratic States. Right there you're talking at least 40 billion and they'll piss that away, too."

Don't they account for like 60-65% of income tax in this country, while the majority of the money has gone to the midwest and flood zones....

  4. There will always be problems of moral hazard in a profit incentive based economy.

A resource based economy might work better but unfortunately we have a problem that can't be humanely fixed, overpopulation.

I mean what are we to do, remove most of the worlds population or keep our current situation and have the majority live in poverty.

I just can't see much upside right now.

We are gonna have Watts Style riots on Nov 4th.

We get theses riots when a team wins the NBA championship. Regardless of the outcome they will find a reason to torch the towns

If you live in a Urban area on Nov 4th stay indoors and stay armed.

  8. Merely a summary of the fact that there is too much information for the market to absorb and digest. The info is coming from every direction with a few wild cards (Europe, Asia, John Q public USA) thrown in for good measure.

They've already moved an Army battalion in to take care of "incidents" domestically - NorthCom. http://www.democracynow.org/2008/10/7/us_army_denies_unit_will_be

BTW what major currencies will hold up? Yen and Swiss Franc?

  10. There will be no riots on election day because Obama will win easily. What happens when 20,000,000 people find out they'll never be able to retire? Nothing! They're already resigned to it. The working class, and that is the overwhelming majority of Americans whether they want to admit it or not, will bitch, moan and little else. We'll be appeased by all that jail time you speak of.
The people of this country are weak and soft. They have no stomach for anarchy. We'll die quietly!
I'll leave you with this...how do you boil a frog to death without the frog knowing it? Do you bring the pot to a boil then throw the frog in? No, the frog will jump out. You put the frog in some nice cool water and he gets real comfortable and you slowly bring up the heat. The frog will just sit in there and cook. See the connection? I knew that you would.

Edit: The only way out is a third world war and our new Prez Obama will start it in Pakistan. The nukes will fly, guaranteed.
