1/ Why the drop in PnL in 2022, 2023? 2/ Why the big increase in PnL 2020 & 2021 (from 2019)? More winning trades or bigger size/wins on average? What strategy: mostly shorting or long stocks or something else (futures/options)?
1. Tougher market. Bubbles bursting, which tends to reduce intraday opportunity too. 2. The opposite--easier market, lots of volatility benefitting day traders, and then in 2021--lot of bubble opportunities as well He's not a high win rate trader (prob hovers at 50%), he's more along the lines of an "80% of his PnL on 20% of his best trades" type profile. Mostly shorting.
