I missed this post from a month ago... Yes, you know, with real money he may actually do the same thing. He may take the same risks, and the same trades, because at 16YO he is not feeling the pressure of earning money. So even if you give him the money he has in his sim account, he could do all of that, for two reasons...One of which involves a quote... 1) He doesn't understand the concept of money yet, because he has not yet lived life. He has the neither the experience nor wisdom of life to guide his decisions. He's not out of the house trying to make it on his own. 2) Something JSOP mentioned... "Yes but for every ounce of creativity that we lose, we gain experience and wisdom." Your son is basically on a double-sim trade at this point. He is sim, and he is too young to understand the consequences of his actions when it comes to real money, which is also sim. Do you follow?
Yeah good advice, psychological pressure can remove all "gift", because its always easier to take decisions in situation without stress.
