There may bee some confusion concerning the difference between "Christianity" and "Selling Pillows on Late Night TV." It would seem the fundamental problem "my pillow folks" face is there are still a few too many educated. In another few years, however, if we don't get behind liberal education, as opposed to job training, we could be living in a country were being a "good Christian" means running a successful fried chicken franchise. If you interpret the word "liberal" in the sense that Ted Cruz would like you to, then you are a part of the problem, rather than a part of the solution.
Hummm.... think I’ll order one if these weighted blankets. https://www.mypillow.com/mypillow-weighted-blankets.html

This was a central belief in Puritan Calvinism that spread through the Midwest of America. Simply put, they believed prosperity was a sign of a righteous life and poverty and suffering was a result of some major personal character flaw. You can still see remnants of this belief system in our national approach to poverty and crime. Of course the flaw in the theological philosophy was Jesus himself was righteous yet poor and suffered greatly. *For a point of order the modern Calvinist Church does not subscribe to this philosophy.
