  2. Anyone who can't see this for what it is shouldn't be trading. I certainly hope there are no fools on this board buying up every recomendation people give out.

As I said before, I took a very small position on this trade, purely for entertainment. And entertaining it has been so far.

Anyway, I don't understand all the bashing. This guy made a bold statement, and is setting out to prove it. Do I think he's likely to do it? No. Do I think it can be done? yes.

Either way it's pretty refreshing from all the "how do you trade?" - "don't bother everyone goes broke and no one makes money and you all are too stupid to do it anyway" threads that have completely consumed ET.

  4. Moderator...

why not delete this guy "uninvited_guest " if he continues with his redundant drum-beat... seems like his sophomoric goal is to disrupt rather than contribute much beyond his initial comments which I am sure are duly noted !

I got nine lives, cat's eyes,
each and evry one of them is wondrin why,
    cause I'm back!
    Yes, I'm back!
    Mama, I'm Back!
    Yes, I'm back!
    Well, I'm back, back.
Well, I'm back in black, yes I'm back in black! Ow!

  7. it is my view BBY will be trading sub-42.50 next week...

    suggest

    + Dec 45c
    - Oct 42.50c

    for <.80

    one more to look at:

    OVTI

long Mar06 15c (look cheap-- for a reason of course)

then, leg into Nov 15c OR sell front 12.50 calls on move higher next week, if any.

    1. earnings report (currently) scheduled Nov 30 allowing for a counter trend move up into said report

    2. heavily shorted stock, to-wit:

The stock's SI is up to 39%, in part because of concerns over "discrepancies" between statements made on the Q1 conference call and the subsequent 10-Q filing. This one could be a mover in either direction on its Q3 report (per briefing.com).

    3. should trade above 12.50 into next Friday's expiry as this stock has a propensity to pin

    4. TA positive: potential DB at 12 -- albeit on low volume ?

    5. TA negative: bearish right triangle

    6. Fundamentals: ??

  8. ice, everytime a new thread is created here at et with regards to calls, free picks, journals...you always see this happen. People come on here demanding to know everything the trader does to discern his picks. Expecting the trader to just blurt out what he has possibly worked on for many years. If the trader doesn't comply with these demands of giving up the fruits of his labour, he is quickly labelled a quack.

I for one applaud anyone who has the sack to put his calls up on a public board. Unfortunately not everyone feels the same way as me. Generally speaking some of us should show a little more respect to our fellow trader.

Good Luck Multioption, great to see a journal on direction option plays, hope you decide to keep it running for awhile. BTW looks like your PEET is working out ok, good job! :)

  9. The disturbing thing though is that many traders expect to see others fail. They unleash their soulish power in anticipation that options' trades picked by others, especially by the perceived gurus, would lose money. I wonder why!!

Whether I make or lose money, I'll continue to post on this board. And I won't lose sleep over what any trader thinks of me 'cause I'm not here to force my views on anybody!

  10. all univited wrote was that you are suggesting trades that involve extremely high risk. which is indisputable. for that iceman wants uninvited silenced.

in addition it's quite clear that you do nothing to manage that risk by first saying you had a stop loss limit and then ignoring it.

your trades have nothing to do with options other than that you are leveraging a directional bet. this is gambling and reckless gambling at that (i.e. a play with high odds against you). it's not much different from starting a journal that boasts you will turn $10 into $50 million in one week and then listing your powerball picks.

if folks find this kind of thread of anything more than entertainment value than you are providing a disservice. anyone who follows your example is sure to go broke. it's a statistical fact - unless you are right on your picks more than say a highly improbable 80% of the time.
