  1. If VLO breaks support at 97.50 it could slide south

  2. there is a small unfilled gap from 11/14/05- and it has found support there-

the stock could trade back to 95. But -it's hard to figure it would do it this week with option expiry pressures. Possible though

  3. True. The daily tape did say it most likely would make a lower low than 15th's low and do so early in the session but it is too early in the session to tell if a selloff will take place and it drop to 95 where there is a second support level. The 97.50 support level may hold and it may trade back up strong. Just have to wait and see. The intraday tape at this moment shows some demand.

  4. personally - I think any price movement in VLO from now until Friday - is to a significant degree related to expiry pressues.

100 is a likely pin price for Friday --

  5. The specialist changes bid/ask fast. He is only giving a once in a while glance at demand/supply. Momentarily demand drove it up to 100.25. After it pulls back we will have to see if it makes another push up or if that was the top for day. What do you think? Will it trade higher than 100.25 today?

  6. BBY

suggest getting into calls - earlier lows was a great entry level

I tried to sell Dec 42.50p - didn't get my price -- was going to spread against March 42.5p - with intent to roll up -

its my "belief" that BBY will trade above 45 - and then be marked to the 47 level.

the sell off in the stock was news and expiry related - it still remains to be seen how the Holiday season will pan out. It could gap above 50- who the H knows :D

  8. at this point it's -- all expiry noise IMHO

** but I will tell you my theory on what pushed the stock suddenly higher--

soon as I entered my order to close my short Dec 110c that I re-sold for 2.20 on the move to 102- (day/close @.95- b/a = 1.25-1.30) - the guys immediately said:

"LOOK - here comes ICEMAN'S order to close his shorts. TIME TO SHOP..." !

    :D :D

  9. Meaning? can't tell if it will trade above 100.25?? 50/50 chance it will/won't?? Expiry noise makes it hard to determine??
