Wait for the punch line........ I have a feeling he is looking for an excuse to trot out a new smiley face he recently found.
Only thing for certain is that assclown will be back. No doubt under another nick but he will be back.
Ok, just looked back at the numbers and looks like MON is dropping because FY13 guidance isn't up to par with MON giving EPS numbers at $4.18-$4.32 vs. est. from Yahoo finance at $4.38. Big mis with MON at all time highs only means a correction. I bought the 87.5 calls back at $1.00, and will look at the 90 puts for an exit. Not sure when as history shows MON will move on average 10% into the earnings direction so there's at least a 50% chance MON could fall as low as $82 by October's expiration. I'll have to roll over these weekly calls into the October expiration, but not sure if I want to do that just yet... I still have the ADBE 32 calls, but I've just set up GTC stop loss on those options at $0.80. That's it. I'll look at MAR for a potential trade, but not sure if I want to make any move seeing that Alcoa kicks off Q2 reports next week.
My trading program is generating trades in both directions again, which tells me there is the potential for quick modest profits in either direction of the market. I placed the following trades today with automated IB bracket orders (Buy Limit / Sell Limit / Stop): [Trade No. 1] SPY OCT 144 Call Buy Limit = 1.74 Sell Limit = 2.24 Stop = 1.21 [Trade No. 2 ] SPY OCT 146 Put Buy Limit = 1.65 Sell Limit = 2.15 Stop = 1.05 Jeff
Well I've been paper trading the last two months, or more. I theeeenk I finally have worked out a new option trading system. Very difficult trading the IWM index with such a low VIX of 14 or 15, which is a bull market. I get a signal in the new signal, will try cash, albeit a minnow bite. In the meantime one of my paper trades just gave me a profit and another one should, either today or Monday I expect. Nice to win once in a while, keeps you coming back ( grin ) In the meantime, alas, been diagnosed with cancer in the neck and throat area ( don't smoke, from forest fires I think ) and waiting results from biopsy next week. Then I have decisions to make, that may make me close my account to accumulate cash. I hate to do that, this is my fun such as it is, at 75 years old. At any rate, nice knowing all you guys and I won today. Hurraaah!
Sorry to hear about your pending battle with the big C there, Falcon. I certainly wish you the very best.
Falconview, Just because you may need to cash in your "Live Account" doesn't mean that you have to leave all the fun of this game called trading. To maintaining your skill set, just use a "Demo Account" and keep right on where you left off. It will definitely help to keep your mind creatively occupied, off of other things during your recovery. The game continues.....hang in there and stay with us! I will add you in my prayers. KDASFTG
Really sorry to hear that falcon. Wishing all the best for you. I hope, if I ever be 75, to be as young in the spirit as you.
