Sorry for your loss. Cancer of any kind is no laughing matter. The pain that you can see through their eyes is horrible. My mother is doing much better now, they caught her lymphoma cancer early enough, but 6 months of chemo was needed. I'm looking forward to finish strong for the rest of the year as it seems now that the market has not done much this year, and some of the charts on individual stocks are still set up for a breakouts. I've got my eyes set on PVH and JOSB at the start of next week already. I'll update on what I see from my research into these two on Monday and go from there.
Alright, I like PCH to the upside. Traders seem to hold PVH higher even on weaker earning reports. I'd like to just go with the Sep 90 calls, but will probably try to set up a 90/95 call spread for about $1.70ish depending on how the market runs Monday. On the otherside, I'm going to add a small 1-2 contract in JOSB Sep 40 put hopefully get this one under $2.00. On the chart, resistance seems to hold at $44 and from its 50-day ma that has pushed lower to $41.74. I think JOSB just breaks down below $40 and falls to new lows. I just saw their new commercials where you can now buy 3 suits for the price of 1. Used to be 2 for the price of 1, but it seems like that's not working to well. Investors are punishing non performing retailers as seen with EXPR, BIG, and GES. Should be fun as JOSB gapped lower in its last 2 report. I'll stick with those two and use no more than profits from last week. Once in play, I'll update.
I also have JOSB on my watch list. My alert for it is set for the $35 area. Once there, I will re-evaluate and decide if i want to sell a $30 put. I have no predictions as to whether or not it will get there. My alert system is only set up to inform me, that it's time to do some additional, and more detailed research on it, and then make a decision at that lower price. Fundamentally, it has a number of negative issues working against it. But betting on stocks going down is not my thing. I prefer to wait until they drop, and then evaluate them for stability in that lower price range, and/or recovery from there. FYI, their earnings are coming out on the 27th, so anticipate some pending volatility this week.
Alright, I've added the PVH spread 90/95 call spread to be exact at a price of $1.85 per contract. Looked over JOSB again, and someone jumped those 40 puts on Friday with over 2000 contracts opened. With short interest also show 16% float (heavy in my standards), I'm not pulling any triggers just yet. I'll give it another day and see how JOSB works around that $40area first with shares testing below $40 earlier today. Nothing much beyond TFM and JOSB on Wednesday morning. I'll look at ZUMZ and OVTI, but those aren't my favorites of all.
Ryan ..... you are yesterdays "thread to follow". Today everyone is following Put_Master's thread. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=247829 Perhaps you could repost over there, we don't need two My Option Trades threads. Thanks.
being that I have putz-master on ignore I hope Ryan you will keep this up! I'm sure there are lots of us who enjoy YOUR thread! thx
Given that DanShirley also has me on ignore, I may start an official.... "Put_Master On Ignore" thread. Everyone but me will be allowed there. Ryan, I also enjoy reading your thread. I only started the new one because you had left, and most of the trades on your thread were 3 - 6 years old.
