My Music

  1. I'm a member of a site called GuitaristWorks.com, and I've posted two songs.
The first one is just a traditional BossaNova style song with traditional changes.
The second song is an introspective, peaceful instrumental,
perfect for a rainy day. The percussion could be better, but it's not
    real terrible.

    Here's the link: http://www.guitaristworks.com/bands/350/audio.php

If you'd like to offer an objective critique, please feel free,
    no offense taken.

If you do listen, thank you VERY much for taking the time to do so.

Hey, thanks for introducing me to that website. I listened to the 2nd song, very nice laid back. As someone else said, it is like for rainy days curling up with a book and a cup of coffee.

Your style is pretty close to mine. I might put up a few songs, although I am too lazy with the editing...

Is there any way those songs are downloadable?

  3. They should be downloadable,
I just paid for that feature today!

I'll ask the admin about it,
if you'd like, I can email the mp3 to you.

    Thanks for your interest, seriously.
Thank you for taking the time to listen.

Mario's lament is #1 on the top 40 Instrumental list!!

So how this site works? If the songs are downloadable, won't the artists get ripped off? By the way what is .m3u? I thought that was some kind of protected filetype...

How much does it cost to be an Artist on the site?

  5. Well, it's number one out of about only 80 songs,
but it still feels darn good.

The site costs nothing to join,
you can post 6 songs for free,
to post more, and have them downloadable,
along with other features, costs $30 for 25 songs,
    $50 for 50(? I think).

As far as getting ripped off, my stuff isn't that good,
and I doubt anyone would want to copy it.
I guess you'd have to copywrite it before you posted it to
    protect yourself.

I paid for the first upgrade, and am trying to get the downloading
    thing strightened out......

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen.

  6. The songs are now downloadable, free!

    Thank you again,

Hey Arnie, did you see the report on CNBC? If you buy a new Volkswagen, you get a free guitar and you can plug it into the car and it works as an amplifier!!!

    That is one stupid promotion....

  8. I wonder what kind of guitar they give you.
I would imagine an inexpensive one,
but I gotta tell ya, I've been playing a long time,
and the entry level guitars of today are very good,
WAY better than entry level guitars when I started out.

  10. Arnie Guitar!,

    Mario's Lament is excellent.

I haven't listened to the radio in years. I can't stand anything popular these days. Even alternative music sounds all the same and commercialized. The good music does not get any air play. I usually come across good music by chance anymore.

I hope that someday artists such as you can bypass the record companies and become successful. I read several years ago that on average an artist will receive $1.12 per cd. That's 10 cents per song. What a joke. I think people would gladly pay $1 per song directly to the artist. Good bye record companies.

Who are your guitar heroes? I've been listening to Roxy Music lately. There guitarist Phil Manzanera has a very interesting solo album called Primitive Guitars with the best songs having a Latin-American flavor.
