Stoney - I am really sorry you missed the run on ZROS (or did you?). It was the 1st reply to the original post on this thread - check page 1. Here's a link to the Beacon web site. They have a really lame flash video as to how the flywheel regulator works. Most importantly is that as alternative energy gains a foothold, more modulation of the grid will be necessary as these types of sources (solar, wind) are inherently unstable. This is just a back-door long shot alternative energy play that has not yet been run up in the market hype. http://www.beaconpower.com/products/EnergyStorageSystems/SmartEnergyMatrix.htm#
Yes I have no ZEROS. I don't look it up afraid to see... Now what's this about moving on from SWEB? What! Help. ANX What Da'. what happened to the broker software? The interactive website, the tie in with the paper the increased advertising and eventual sale of the company for $4??????? I thought this was all understood? TD I'm with you on most of these this BCON barks like a dog. I mean what kind of stock loses near 5% the day of a huge press release? You could say sell the news but there was no run up. Bad chart. Could make a slim daily argument for a run in the next two weeks but it would be sharp and reversed I believe. Common WWAT. WWAT. I just called the company nobody answered because it's Saturday night. But I'm going to get a hold of their PR guy and give him a pep talk. i mean if they did have a silly farm or two light up soon NOW is the time to drop a press release because the GROUP HAD IT's FIRST ROLLOVER day Friday-- I expect only ONE MORE RUN OUT OF SOLAR. Because it's WATER too and THAT never goes out of fashion!! We have a water problem!! A smart guy with $ on the co> WorldWater & Power Corp. âI touched on this one back on March 4th in my Sunday reader picks. My criticisms are still valid: âgross margins are awful. Nice guidance for 2007, but the âseasonalityâ of earnings might just be the CEOâs way of hyping expectations and making excuses for the coming quarter so he can sell at a better price. I want to see gross margins come up before investing.â eeech. We could get killed here but press release oh press release where art thou?
Actually I did play the subprimes the last two weeks but took my money and ran. Still have some free DRL's but it's a lottery ticket. Friday had some strange Status Quo prints; not to hard to figure out the reasons behind that. Next few days/weeks should be fun. Hope ya made a killing.
Stoney - My take on the above: BCON - Agreed - I said in my original post, the chart absolutely looks like crap. However - you need to check the dates on the Press Release. The release was Thursday morning and immediately the stock shot up from .82 to a peak of 1.02 (24%), closing at .94 on over 6.5M shares. It did drop on Friday, to close at .9 on lighter volume (3.3M). Actually I think this is a longer term play to see if they ever get a product on the market. 6 mos - 1 yr and this could be huge, of course it is a long shot, so it could also be history. That said, it does appear that they recently received some venture capital dollars, so there seems to be some "smart money" backing: Beacon Power Corporation Announces $10.6 Million Investment Commitment 2007 Feb 12 7:27 PM Beacon Power Corporation announced that it has received commitments for $10.6 million of new investment in the Company. The capital will be used to fund ongoing operations. The transaction is expected to close on February 15, 2007. Investors agreed to purchase approximately 11.8 million units for $0.90 per unit, each of which consists of one share of the Company's common stock, par value $0.01 per share, and a warrant to purchase 0.5 shares of the Company's common stock at an exercise price of $1.33 per share. I think I read that the warrants had a 6 month expiration, so it seems these backers expect a fairly quick increase in share price. Also, this is an "alternative energy" play that has not not yet been discovered by the market. 75% of the companies in this sector will be gone 3 years from now, but they are all running like crazy as this seems to be the "hot" sector. The chart looks to have based at 52 week low of .74, so there is limited downside risk, but any positive news could provide huge upside. So you're right, it could reverse to .75, but it could also go to $3. Seems like a good longshot play to play to me. WWAT - earnings release is expected this Friday, 3/30. Like Hydro said - don't expect good numbers, but I do expect good PR.
I don't know a damn thing about the company, but by looking at the chart tonight this one looks primed to go up another 10%+ tomorrrow and possibly touch 0.65. 2-5 times this past months average volume on yesterdays 10% move, MACD cross and very high RSI. Definately worth a shot for a day-trade in my opinion.
I don't know what they will release, I just know that from looking at their financials, they are milking the stock buyers and then keep issuing more stock. Just look how much they pay themselves in salary. Their gross profit numbers are sketchy too. I think someone is embezzling money as well or giving out kickbacks. At the same time, they have been at this for at least 3 years. The insiders do trade their company stock, buying it back at the bottom then selling it at the tops. They keep getting more and more debt and then spending it on god knows what. It's a good racket. Some of their board members and exec team are politically connected, by the way.
Touche' ah what has the world come to when the stonedinvestor gets a lecture from Topdown. "Stoney- you need to check the dates on the Press Release." This is not unlike a movie I recently saw, Kung Fun, as I remember, when the great master no longer can control his pupil he resorts to the use of a big stick. Feeling WWAT Baby! Good for 40% from here. Tried to talk to the company today got a machine I'll try back tonight during telemarketing times. I'm expecting a China announcement & have drafted some good " examples " for them to use if need be. In the wife's IRA and once again I did not buy. You guys owe me that insures BIG upside. ~si
Hey Topdown. I've been scouring the 'net about ZROS and was wondering what your outlook is for this week and next. I believe you mentioned you are still holding some sort of position. Over on RagingBull there seems to be a lot of talk about the Stocklemon thing and they also are cheering for another surge based on news they think is coming between now and the end of April. I read somewhere the squeeze is on around $1.18. Closed today @ $1.19, up from $1.11. So is this just wishful thinking from drowning rats on a sinking ship? Or is there another run up the ladder coming? I don't know. I sure wish I was in on the last run. I have stared at the charts and a floor seems to be in place around a dollar, a little higher or a little lower. It doesn't seem to want to go below a dollar with any strength. The ups and downs it has done the last couple of days might signal congestion, but that could go either way. I may be beating a dead horse here, but does anyone think ZROS will run up to $2 or $3 within the month? Has anyone tried the software? I have read it works from many, but have not read it "doesn't" work. The only real criticism I found for the software was that it was too much like FTP or torrents or any other P2P filesharing software. Is anyone still holding on to any shares or did everyone dump it the minute it took a dive?
LOL Stoney - A few appropriate quotes from the TV series: "The teacher is only as water to the soil. He cannot grow a pomegranate from mustard seed." â Caine "'The father learns from the son.' 'But the father learns. It is perhaps enough.'" -Caine WWAT - From today's 13D: Item 5. Interest in Securities of the Issuer (a) As of the date of this Schedule 13D, each reporting person beneficially owns 9,432,500 shares of Common Stock, which are held of record by the Trust. (b) Each of David Gelbaum and Monica Chavez Gelbaum, acting alone, has the power to exercise voting and investment control over the shares of Common Stock owned by the Trust. (c) Since March 2, 2007, the Trust has purchased the following shares of Common Stock in brokered transactions as follows: Date Number of Shares Price Per Share ---- ---------------- --------------- 03/14/07 150,000 $0.51 03/15/07 430,000 0.53 03/16/07 180,000 0.55 03/19/07 175,000 0.55 03/20/07 100,000 0.56 03/21/07 465,000 0.63 Gelbaum is some billionaire retired hedge fund manager. So this investment is not much to him, but I also doubt he likes throwing money away. With that Hydro's comment about WWAT's political connection, I am feeling pretty good holding this at least through earnings.
Silver - I am still holding 10,000 shares of my original purchase at .18. I look at it as "free" money and I am willing to hold for 6 or 8 more months to see how this shakes out. I have been involved with lemon attack before and he is wrong more often than he is right. As far as the near future, I would expect additional PR from ZROS in the next few weeks - either announcing users who purchased Rocketstream (possible big names), or for releases of additional versions of the application. But who knows, maybe the lemon is right and it is complete BS. It actually did pretty good today. Ended up 7%, could have been better but someone dumped 120,000 or so shares at the bid around 2:20 p.m.
