You're right! Just can't seem to find it's legs and keep them. I dumped it all, and now will wait for an actual sustained breakout abobe 6 before I would re-enter. It's no longer in the longshot category and now must function as any other stock. Right now it's got a long ways to go in proving itself. Keep an eye on NEOP.ob. Got crushed yesterday after some dilution and might sell off some more tomorrow with their usual lackluster earnings. However, longer term, like next year it's a possible mover in a big way. Crappy DSCM could be a buyout contender for another longshot, but I just can't get behind the rumor.
Well i am hoping to hold onto AVNR but i would like it much better if it was trading above 5...right here its kind of in no mans land i am hoping for the best...its a good buyout candiate or a partner with a big drug firm (like NBIX) but they could just as easy price a secondary offering...which would not be good for the price
i saw that...it "could" be the reason for AVNR being weak lately....who knows but if it comes out that Claurus is done selling then it could shoot the price up...it would not take very long to exit 12 million shares..then again it could just be a weak stock if they are aggressivly selling then one could make the case for it holding up well. considering then again "NBIX can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent."
JASO not bad, but I've been in LDK and SATC in the solar sector. Both have done very well, especially LDK. Don't know how much is left in that sector. It's had quite the run. BSX looks like it's been beaten down pretty good over the last year. I like that as it fits the longshot potential. I'll keep it on the radar.
NBIX came out today ...said that they might have a offering....and it only goes down .05 Thats seems to be a good sign its hanging in like a champ....but the waiting period for any great great news might be some time out
NBIX is still acting very strong...hanging around making runs at a new 52 week high but with these bio techs...its either a homerun or strike out
With the meeting for Phase II pushed to late Q1, 2011, what takes this higher between now and then? Bio techs kicked my butt so bad this year I'm hesitant to look at any of them. That said, NBIX does seem to be a legit player, all things considered.
