Thanks for the extra insights on today's trades. It did give me insight on how you trade, which in turn should give better context on your future results.

    Keep up the profits!

  5. I've been using Chairman Maoxian's "dummies" entry style on these and other volatile stocks. Works pretty well, though it does tend to keep me out of some of the action. Basically he favors entry on inside bars or NR7 bars on the 30- or 15-minute chart. If the gap is up, you only take longs. If the gap is down, only shorts.

The initial stop is the other side of the entry (inside) bar. I size my positions so that my max risk is 0.1%. Sounds small but these moves have a high R-multiple potential and it keeps my losses small.

Also, I like day trading the most liquid ETF's such as QQQQ. On trending days like today they give good action.

I've dabbled in index futures some, but it's much harder for me to control my risk with the contract sizes available. My account's not that big LOL.

i noticed HIG and some other financials up a lot in the morning, also RTP caught my eye, but I didn't mention because already had a few stocks to watch, if there is a choice i prefer to trade the stocks that are going to gap due to earnings, i wasn't sure how bailout stocks might trade after gap, and RPT had some management related news so I didn't trade them

with current volatility i might miss a lot of good stocks, if some stock catches your eye as a good candidate for that day's trading and you would like to share please post here
